welcome to august in michigan

it is hotter than hell outside. and inside if you don't have air conditioning. which i don't.

so we're walking back from arbor tonight--because we had to go somewhere air conditioned, because otherwise it's too hot to eat, or breathe for that matter--and there are these three guys with a giant blowup snowman in their front yard playing a guitar and singing jingle bells. on the hottest day of the year. hilarious.

the same folk had some crap on sticks stuck in their front yard as their, umm, contribution, to art fair, too. i need to make friends with these people.

that is all for today. it is too hot to write. or breathe. or really do much of anything. it was like 98 today, and supposedly 110 with the heat index. there's a heat advisory in effect until tomorrow night. if i haven't died of some sort of heatstroke by then--or from the side effects of opening at the bucks two days in a row when i've been on closes for the past week and it's too hot to sleep, i'll write more tomorrow...
